When we think about design maturity it’s often in the limited form of the NN/g and Invision maturity scales that do little to describe our collective frustration or help navigate the many challenges in our day-to-day work.

The materials found here delve into the interpersonal challenges faced by design leaders, the meaning that we derive from our work, and how we can better understand the toll it takes on our mental health in environments that may lack human-centeredness.

How do we effectively work with PMs who are hostile toward research? When is it time to move on from a role? How do we challenge a decision made by a superior? Why are there so few junior design roles? How do we manage our egos? Why am I banging my head against the wall over and over?

Do note that inclusion in this repo is meant to present relevant and varied points of view across a wide range of design leaders in environments ranging from startups to Fortune 100s and FAANGs. It does not imply endorsement or agreement with all the opinions and philosophies espoused.
